rýr – dislodged (Recommendation)

rýr from Germany are here to bring a lot of low-end-rumble to your bright spring day. Released on the all around nice label Moment of Collapse Records, dislodged marks a heavy hitting beginning to the second quarter of 2025.

If you want to take on dislodged, you have bring time with you. 5 tracks, creating 40 minutes of massive Post-Metal. If a musical fix-point is needed it would be Russian Circles. Just like the passive verb-forms in the tracklist, the music is so towering that you can’t do anything against it and just let the album happen.

Since the album has a great pacing and flow overall it is hard to pinpoint standout-tracks. That may sound negative but is meant in the most positive way: dislodged is like a monumental monochrome screensaver for your mind, that mesmerizes you from the first riffs of “flung” until the last sounds of “foiled” have faded out.

dislodged will surely stand tall among the many Post-Metal releases that will see the light of day in 2025.
