Theatre’s Kiss – Desolat – In the Depths of Despair (Premiere)

Showcasing a strongly progressive take on the development of its sound, Theatre’s Kiss already wandered through different musical genres with their different takes on the previous releases. Having started off in the depths of the rather depressing edge of Post-Punk with dreamy vibes and gloomy tones, the sound of Theatre’s Kiss moved further towards the Punk roots of their genre discoveries. With the release of Theatre’s Kiss‘ latest release Marie / Chronicles of a Needful Being, this one-man-combo then moved further away from the gloom towards the Rock-oriented basis of this sound.

On the 28th of February, I highly recommend to adjust your seatbelts when preparing to get into the sound of Theatre’s Kiss’ latest full-length Desolat – In the Depthts of Despair that will showcase quite a radical progression in terms of sound.

From their debut EP on, Theatre’s Kiss presented musical output that heavily emphasized the focus on continuous and intended musical progression. On this latest full-length, the original Post-Punk sound drastically moves towards the spheres of the originators of the genre and further on in the direction of Deathrock. Don’t be mislead by the opening of the album and take your time to dive deeper into this sound so to be able to find out the sonical spheres that are examined on this release.

Desolat – In the Depths of Despair will be released via Sigil of Macabre Art Records on the 28th of February.
