Unsettling story time again. Kludde and A Thousand Sufferings are here to tell a tale of greed and insanity with their new Split-release Het Pact. It tells of the sorrow of a young woman in love, bound to live out her days locked away in the family castle. All to preserve the riches, acquired over generations, each more depraved and decadent than the next.
A Thousand Sufferings tell their part of the story first. Offering a mixture of Doom and Death Metal, Het Pact is off to horrible start in the most entertaining way. Taking inspiration from the depths of human existence. My first association was Amenra around Mass III and Mass IIII combined with blast-beats (“De Armoezaaier“). “De Zotte” is more straight on. 6 minutes of unrelenting, forward pushing until everyone and everything is out of breath.
Kludde have already graced us last year with De Horla and now continue this horrifying story in their own blend of Death / Sludge something Metal. Their version of the story moves on from where De Horla left off: giving the best musical interpretation of the horrors that lurk in the minds of mankind with the means of atmospheric Death Metal.
Het Pact brings two unique acts together to introduce the listeners to a horrific story from their homeland. Every extreme Metal fan should open their ears to this horrifying harshness.
