Coming to terms with things, circumstances or changes in general can be a grueling and long process. Step by step and day by day you’ll get used to new routines, missing routines and an unknown future laying before you.
TAKH‘s origin lies back in 2015, when The Black Heart Rebellion invited Annelies Van Dinter as guest musician on the record People when you see the smoke. This collaboration spawned the seed that now starts to grow and bloom as a beautiful, gloomy flower.
From the beginning of “Salomonne” till the last notes of “Hair of a Horsetail” the listener is captivated by this mixture Doom and Post-Metal. Two soothing voices accompanied by drums reminiscing a steady heartbeat. You feel yourself aligning to the music like in trance.
“Unabashed and knowing” and “Drôme” form the beautiful core of this album. The first one resembles the aforementioned new beginning, with steady speed you walk the new path layer out before you. The latter one is finding oneself in sync with the world that is given to you. Tranquil and firm in your roots.
TAKH’s self titled album is a hypnotic siren’s song for the end and a coming new start. Get lost in it and find yourself again.
