With the remastered version of Yes, I am from 2007, pg.lost brought back some memories from the “good old times”, where I discovered a new genre, before all the instrumental Post-Rock/Post-Metal stuff were my main genre.
I must confess, the EP Yes, I am wasn’t my first pg.lost album, it was the 2010 album In Never Out, but of course, I listened to the EP shortly thereafter. For this reason, it must be clearly stated that this band is partly to blame for my love for this kind of music.
Yes, I am’s five songs are full of ideas, warm music, high-pitching parts and downs and it’s over before I would wish. The wide and playful sound structure of all songs is still amazing today and with the remastered version, you will get slightly better listening experiences. New is not always better, but a little improvement can give you more chills. The song “The Kind Heart of Langion” alone is worth enough to hear it.
The other part of the album is a live version of all five songs from a gig in their home town Norrköping in Sweden, which have an excellent mix, although being recorded live.
